We invite you to sit in the bay window and take in the view of the mountains especially "Sleeping Beauty" the mountain range in which the Huon Valley rests. This room has a theme of Teddy bears.

Romantic stays are our specialty and we offer special packages which include flowers and Champagne as you arrive, and Chocolates as a start to your stay. Win his or her heart straight away. All this is yours, by prior arrangement.

The history of our cottage fascinates many visitors and we provide information about the lives of the original owners to help you to understand and appreciate the history of one of the earliest settled places in Tasmania. In fact Sir John and Lady Franklin spent many years in the area, some of the landmark trees in Franklin, planted by Lady Jane, are tall, mature reminders of links to world history that originate in Tasmania.

Huon Franklin Cottage is perfectly located to provide a holiday base for exploration of the entire Huon and Channel Districts, and is close enough to Hobart that you can travel there for events such as the Saturday Salamanca Market.
